Easily manage your premium payments online

HAP makes it simple and secure for individual members to manage their health insurance premium payments through the online Bill Pay tool. Whether you're a new member making your first payment or a returning member looking to update your payment method, HAP’s online system offers flexibility, convenience and 24/7 access.

Key features of the online bill pay tool

Once you register at hap.org/welcome, you can access the Bill Pay tool to:

  • Make a one-time payment: Use the “Pay My Bill” feature to submit a single payment quickly and securely.
  • Set up auto pay: Schedule automatic monthly payments to ensure your premiums are always paid on time.
  • Manage payment methods: Add or update your credit card, debit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT) information.
  • View payment history: Access your payment records from August 9, 2021, onward. For earlier records, contact HAP at (888) 735-2542 or email msweb1@hap.org.

Important: initial premium payment

Your first premium payment is critical. It must be received and processed before your coverage effective date. If this payment is missed, your coverage will be canceled and you may need to wait until the next open enrollment period or qualify for a special enrollment period to reapply.

How to get started

  1. Register online: Visit hap.org/welcome to create your member account.
  2. Log in: Once registered, log in and click “Pay My Bill” to access the Bill Pay tool.
  3. Choose your payment option: Select Auto Pay, make a one-time payment, or choose to receive a paper bill by selecting the “Bill Me” option during enrollment.
