HAP and Henry Ford Health Launch Employer Plan Focused on Value and Coordinated Care

Members Gain Access to a High-Performing Network and Lower Premium Options

TROY, Mich. – Aug. XX, 2025 – HAP, a Michigan-based nonprofit health plan, in partnership with Henry Ford Health, today announced the launch of Henry Ford Health Select—a new health plan designed to deliver coordinated care and help Michigan businesses manage rising healthcare costs.

Quoting for employer groups begins mid-to-late August 2025, with coverage starting Jan. 1, 2026.

Henry Ford Health Select provides access to a high-value care network and includes:

• Up to 15% savings on premium costs
• Access to Henry Ford Health and more than 9,400 affiliated providers
• Over 550 care sites and 13 Henry Ford Health acute care hospitals
• Available to individuals and to small and large employer groups in seven Michigan counties, with select Medicare Advantage options
• Comprehensive, coordinated coverage focused on value and better health outcomes
• Required primary care provider (PCP) assignment and referrals for specialty care to help manage costs and streamline care
• Ancillary services—including lab, imaging, durable medical equipment, therapy, urgent care, and behavioral health—through HAP’s HMO network

Henry Ford Health Select is structured as a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and an Exclusive Provider Arrangement (EPA), giving members access to Henry Ford Health’s High-Performing Network. This network includes doctors, hospitals and specialists chosen for delivering high-quality care at lower costs.

The new plan will phase out existing offerings, including Pivotal, Henry Ford Choice and Genesys Choice, by Dec. 31, 2026.
